All consultations are by appointment only

Appointments may be made by telephoning, or attending the surgery in person, during office hours. You may make an appointment to see any of the doctors but for continuing illness, it is preferred that you see the same doctor.

You may also book appointments online with VisionOnline via the link at the top of this page. if you would like to use VisionOnline please come to the surgery to receive your login information.

Please be advised that our average waiting times for a routine appointment are approximately 1 week. Should you prefer to see a named GP or require an early morning or late afternoon appointment, you may have a slightly longer wait.

Doctor's Consultation Times

TEXT REMINDER SERVICE NOW AVAILABLE - Please ensure that your mobile phone numbers are updated at reception and you will be able to receive text reminders of your appointments - if you share a mobile number with children, let us know so that we can opt you in to the service. Those aged 12 - 15 years are unable to use the reminder service due to confidentiality. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SERVICES USES A MOBILE NUMBER THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCESS - PLEASE DO NOT SEND MESSAGES TO US VIA THIS SERVICE.

Urgent Appointments

Urgent appointments may be made by advising the receptionist that you need to be seen urgently (i.e. for something that cannot wait until the next routine appointment). She will make arrangements for you to be seen as soon as possible. Please be advised that the GP's have requested that receptionists take a brief summary of the requirement for an urgent consultation so that they can be prioritised if necessary.

Telephone Access to Doctors and Nurses

Due to the high number of telephone calls patients can no longer be put straight through to a doctor. If a message is left with the receptionist the doctor will decide whether this can be answered via the receptionist or whether they need to speak to the patient in person.

Telephone Consultations

If you feel that you are unable to wait until the next routine appointment, we can offer a telephone consultation with the GP, you will be called back by the duty doctor of the day during the morning (we are unable to offer a designated time for the contact). Please be advised that the GP's have requested that receptionists take a brief summary of the requirement for a telephone consultation so that the calls can be prioritised as necessary.  A telephone consultation is not to be requested for test results or repeat medication requests, these can be dealt with in a routine appointment.
